FERLEA / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2006

Established by Mr. Milvo Benini in 1959, Ferlea starts its production of small furniture for entrance area and accessories.

In 1980, the production is passing from the classic to the modern style. The result is a innovative product, characterized by a careful choice of materials and the finishing of the details.

The success of these movements pushes Milvo Benini to start a collaboration with designer Gabriella Zecca to give the collection a new and original character - the first step towards the design.

The company expresses first of all the variety of products, original and recognizable, strong by themselves but also good to combine, as they create a consequent and homogeneous line.

The Ferlea's products presented at the Milan Furniture Fair 2006 are two new armchairs:
Dada by Enzo Berti and Disk, designed by Karim Rashid.

Dada, designed by Enzo Berti, is clearly inspired to the Avant-Garde Movement founded in Zurich by Tristan Tzara.
The Dada seat, irrational and ironic, is a rotational moulded hand sculpted in polyethylene, available in five colours and features a rough surface finish.

The Disk armchair, designed by Karim Rashid, is shaped as a spoon folded and is realized in fiber glass with a frame in steel. Seat cushion in polyurethane foam and polyester fibre

For the past production realized by Ferlea we signal the following products::

Bagnante chaise-longue, Brera, Open and Poggio sofas, Miss seat, Zig Zag armchair and sofa with no removable cover, Dozy rocking chair, Van and Dolmen sofas, Katà, Shell and Kora armchairs in rattan, Pop armchair and pouf with completely removable cover – all designed by Enzo Berti –, Altea and Lily – armchairs designed by Studio Riforma –, Cube and Gap – armchairs by Ikka Suppanen –, Mari pouf – designed by Toshiyuki Yoshino –, and again Bikini Bikini – squared pouf with transformable part into a backrest –, and Ego sofa – again by Enzo Berti.
