 FERLEA / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2005


Established by Mr. Milvo Benini in 1959, Ferlea starts its production of small furniture for entrance area and accessories. In 1980, the production is passing from the classic to the modern style. The result is a innovative product, characterized by a careful choice of materials and the finishing of the details.

The success of these movements pushes Milvo Benini to start a collaboration with designer Gabriella Zecca to give the collection a new and original character - the first step towards the design.
Since the collaboration with designer Enzo Berti as art director from 2000 on the company expresses first of all the variety of products, original and recognizable, strong by themselves but also good to combine, as they create a consequent and homogeneous line.
The Ferlea's products presented at th Milan Furniture Fair are:

Barça – seat designed by Enzo Berti – is made of stress-resistant high-density polyurethane. Available accessory: tray of inox-steel, satin finish (opaque) to put in any position on top of the back- or armrest. Barça is available in fabric (completely removable cover) or in leather with quilted seat (not removable cover).

Bikini is a squared pouf with transformable part into a backrest. Down side part of this backrest is always covered with a material of black plastic. The structure is made of wood padded with stress-resistant polyurethane and polyester fibre. Bikini is designed by Enzo Berti.

Cube – designed by Enzo Berti – is an armchair in reduced dimensions, to combine with comfortable sofas at home, ideal solutionns for contract and for comunities. With a structure made of wood, Cube is padded with stress-resitant polyurethane and polyester fibre.

Gap is the armchair with no removable cover. Its wooden frame is padded with stress-resitant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre. Designed by Enzo Berti, Gap has a turning base in Inox-steel.

Kora is the armchair in rattan in ergonomic form. Available as natural or black version, this Enzo Berti's project has a base in chromate metal.

Lily is an armchair – designed by Enzo Berti – with wooden frame padded with stress-resistant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre. The seat cushion is in stress-resitant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre, the base in black metal.

Mari – a pouf designed by Enzo Berti –, is made in stress-resitant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre. With wooden feet, Mari is available in one or two color cover.

Pop – armchair and pouf with completely removable cover by Enzo Berti – is realized with a wooden frame padded with stress-resitant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre. The base is in chromate metal. Also, there is Pop Outdoor pouf in polyethylene realized by rotational system. Metal base: chromate for inside, zinc-plated for outside. Colours: white/transparent, yellow, orange.

Shell is an armchair with rattan frame natural or white varnished with set of cushions made in the same materials by Enzo Berti. Shell has its base in chromate metal.

Katà is an armchair and a set of cushions in stress-resistant polyurethan and polyestre fibre by Enzo Berti. Rattan frame natural, white, black or wengè varnished with attachment to the ceiling.

Dolmen is a seat with wooden frame is padded with stress-resitant high density polyurethane and polyester fibre. The backrest plugs into the seat designed by Enzo Berti. –Wooden feet alluminium finishing.

Armchair and sofa with no removable cover, Zig Zag – another Enzo Berti's project –, is a seat with wooden frame padded with stress-resistant high-density polyurethane and polyester fibre. Legs in metal, goffered aluminium finish. Zig Zag Outdoor is another version of armchair realized with rotational system. Useful for outdoor. Colours: white/transparent, yellow, orange.

The production realized by Ferlea also includes the sofas Van – designed by Enzo Berti –, Dozy – a rocking chair by Enzo Berti –, the armchairs and sofas collection Pit, the sofas Poggio, Brera, the seat Miss, the sofa Open and the chaise-lounge Bagnante – all designed by Enzo Berti – and again the sofas Swing – designed by Studio Riforma –, Badessa and Plurimo – these last designed by F.L.
