DADA Dada is involved in the top quality innovative home kitchen sector and is part of the Molteni Group. - In the 1970s, Molteni & C, a leader in the home furniture sector, developed a strategy of diversification and formed a group. First, it founded Unifor, which supplies office furniture and large public contracts, then, in 1980, it acquired Dada. - Design is the company’s strong point – intended both in terms of formal quality and technological and type innovation. The designers that have worked or are working with Dada include Luca Meda, Pier Luigi Cerri, Michele De Lucchi, Ferruccio Laviani, Paolo Piva, Studio Kairos, Paola Navone, Hannes Wettstein. Dada has in recent years produced a whole range of kitchens with a high aesthetic content and possesses numerous registered patents. An example – observe the type innovation in a kitchen such as Nuvola@up dwhere base units and columns with appliances are raised above the floor and can be fixed to the wall at any height, thus determining optimum personalisation of the workload. In particular, even the dishwasher, which normally has an obligatory position, can now be placed at the desired height with increased convenience for household chores. Dada has over the years introduced many innovations. These include the Futura wall unit, designed by Studio Kairos, with doors that fold open upwards; Banco, in which the units are suspended from bridge-like aluminium structures of varying sizes and which can be created to the centimetre. There are also rotating columns and base units, columns with vanishing doors and various types of mechanisms carefully developed for opening systems. - Dada exports to 10 countries and its foreign sector is constantly growing. As well as home kitchens, it also supplies special contracts e.g. the kitchens for the Metropol apartments in Monte Carlo, or the kitchens in the tasting area of the Nestlé headquarters in Vevey.
