BUT WHERE HAVE THE INVENTORS GONE? LORENZO DAMIANI |
|
Lorenzo Damiani / Flying Office / 2004 / for OTTO GALLERY |
Stackable office module built out of structural timber and an industrial pallet. Equipped with desk, chair and shelves, it is completely wired up and can be connected to the power supply. It can be moved, with a forklift truck, to any position in an open-plan office; 200 x 200 x h 200 cm
The design is based on the typical pallet mode of transport for goods. Eight planks delimit a cubic «room» without walls: a working Existenzminimum that fits in well with industrial settings. "Flying Office" was designed on the occasion of Damiani's solo exhibition «In-Coerenza» («In-Coherence») at the Otto Gallery in Bologna in 2004. |
