CECCOTTI COLLEZIONI / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2008

In the late 50's Aviero Ceccotti, founder of the company, begins his activity in the field of furniture, choosing to operate in a high-end market with particular attention to an international markets. In 1988 the division Ceccotti Collections was crated following the intuition of the managing director Franco Ceccotti.
Ceccotti Collezioni is the real italian high handycrafts, with the quality of thought, the sensibility for contemporary design, the utmost attention to details and the great manual skills typical of the real Made in Italy, qualities which make it uncomparable to any production in the overview of international furnishings.
There is an invisible thread – a personal and intellectual bond – which joins and is shared by the search and work of Vincenzo De Cotiis, Noè Duchaufour-Lawrance and those of Massimo Castagna, the coordinator of the collection, with Franco Ceccotti, and all those people who put their hearts in Ceccotti Collezioni and the irreplaceable, unique skills of their hands to produce extraordinary pieces.

This invisible thread joins, also, the items of the new collection 2008: a wish for freedom, the experience of the past, the courage of exploring new, unusual roads, the search for the "beautiful", the passion for the work of the great masters of architecture and design, the reflection on contemporary living, the interest for art, the passion for quality handicrafts and the relentless search for excellent manufacturing, a tradition that makes Ceccotti Collezioni's recognizable, maybe unique.

In 2008, the Modern Sense – collection presented last year by Ceccotti Collezioni – adds new players, the protagonists of the surprisingly homely landscape of the collection – beds, items and lamps – which, according to the philosophy behind the collection, are the fruit of different approaches and different hands, as the components of one single whole, an imaginary home, a contemporary, learned, international home, different products sharing the unpredictable, extraordinary ability to get together into a single whole.

A story that goes on, giving pride of place this year to the sleeping areas of this imaginary home, which takes on new players as Buonanotte Valentina – designed by Noè Duchaufour-Lawrance – four version of a bed that can be considerated an embodiment of what Ceccotti Collezioni thinks real contemporary luxury is, distant from any form of ostentation or opulence.

Again by Noè Duchaufour-Lawrance are Luna – console made in solid American walnut and top in corian with hollow tray –, Obi – table made in American walnut with glass top –, the easy-chair Estate and the coffee table made in solid American walnut with glass top Beside You.

The designer Vincenzo De Cotiis presents DCbed a bed with upholstered headboard and base covered in leather.

The homely landscape of Ceccotti Collezioni is enriched by Heaven Doors, designed Massimo Castagna, cabinets equipped for various uses: bar/personal wardrobe/shirt holder/shoe holder, made in solid American walnut and veneered poplar plywood, base in satin nickel brass.

Again designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis, Ceccotti Collezioni presents After Glow – available in version floor lamp with tubular stem and light shade in burnished brass and tempered glass and in version ceiling lamp with light shade in burnished brass and tempered glass –, DC 150 – chaise longue with base in wood and back rest in curved plywood, upholstered and covered in leather –, and the armchair DC 80.
