SEGIS, DELIGHT, MULTIPLA / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2006

Design, elegance and ecology together for a competitive price. There are the answers to the market by Segis-Delight-Multipla. Worldwide known for specialized production of chairs, tables, soft seatings, components for the contract and the residential market.

Established in 1983 in Poggibonsi (Siena), Segis has been a Company extremely sensitive to Italian design under the sound guidance of Franco Dominici the president and managing director. The company manufactures a wide range of products in metal, wood and polypropylene, addressed to a design lover public, made by using quality materials and the most updated industrial technologies to grant high quality standards at a competitive price.
The following step has been a synergy with Delight (Poggibonsi) first for accessories and occasional furnitures and subsequently with Multipla (Udine) for wooden chairs.

The industrial production generates by the integration of four main elements. Italian and international style combined by the help of different cultured project manager and designers, development with care and respect by mean of material, peoples and technology, quality control based on security quality standards. Accessibility: as market price wise, new technologies and innovative process.

One of the main seasoning that Segis presents is the strong and powerful industrialized equipments for production, respecting and having care and love for the quality and aesthetic look of our products, but equally involved with positive success of cost reduction.

Heart and motor of the design in the group is Carlo Bartoli, who collaborate with Segis for over 12 years and with Segis has reached over 14 awards.

Segis with Delight and Multipla will be presenting new models featuring ergonomics and functionality, according to the informal and minimal style that distinguishes the elegance of its ranges at the Milan International Furniture Fair 2006.

Modularity, along with the composition variety merged with essential practical and hygienic lines, yet elegant, are the distinctive feature of Jo-Bar, the system of upholstered benches created by Roberto Romanello for the Alphabet series of upholstered items - a Segis brand. Suited to restaurants, waiting rooms, bars and museums, these new structures have a solid and multi-layer wood core, while the base line is of stainless steel. The stuffing is of variable density polyurethane lined with polyester foam, so as to ensure maximum comfort. There is a wide choice of upholstery: fabric, leather, fake-leather, micro-fibres or fabrics proposed by clients, with a wide range of colours.
Also the upholstered monocoque Jo-Lie seats, with their revolving base, and the Jo-Lie S slide version, along with the Jo-Bim stools, all upholstered and with swivel base.

Lui', Multipla catalogue, barstools set having three different heights. The lowerest one can be used as a small table too.

Niu', always by Roberto Romanello design for Multipla, sidechair and barstools with arms, seat in a curved alluminium piece to match different wood essences.

Again with the Segis brand is the new Pinta, armchair, designed by the Spanish Miguel Angel Ciganda. The structure of slim rods, painted opaque, proposes upholstered seats with plastic backs: an unusual synthesis between the technological combination of seat and back and the bearing structure of rods that recall the stylised tradition of wicker.

Also the Delight catalogue, specialised in furnishing complements, presents some novelties. Bartoli Design is the creator of the two foldable carts on wheels: Servoquattro and Servotre. Functional and practical with their techno-polymer reinforced structure supported by a steel chrome structure or aluminium lacquered with various shelves. It comes in a version with four legs - Servoquattro - with two rectangular shelves, and in the three leg version - Servotre -, with a single circular shelf. Purely service, hence the name.

Also Yoga, is characterised by the language of transparency, for the Segis catalogue, this system of tables based on rectangular and square tops. Here it is crystal that de-materialises the objects, supported by elliptic aluminium tubes. They are signed by Bartoli Design who aimed at pure geometries that are able to communicate through light planes.

Matteo Thun designed the Slide chair, transparent and light, suited to both public and private spaces and conceived to offer the maximum comfort reducing the decorative elements to a minimum. This example of "no-design" features light, the non-material, as is in the rapid and luminous passage of a slide.
