DRIADESTORE / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2006

Driadestore supplies the means and suggests the ways for living in a youthful, colourful, informal home, nomadic without being temporary, light. For this home invents a collection of furniture and decorating accessories to sit, sleep and eat on.

Driadestore design is a many-handed text transformed into poetry. Its image is fresh and casual. The designers participating in the project with his/her own personal poetics, they collaborate as a team to create well-designed products for everyday use, attentive to industrial manufacturing logic without forgetting the traditional skills of handcraftsmanship. Poetry is striven for in using different materials and manufacturing techniques, which run from industrial to the artisanal: polymers, colored glass and metal, industrially worked, go hand in hand with wood, manually woven wicker and leather upholstery.

The aim is to render liveable and comfortable a home that is completed with objects whose fine design is allied with affordable price. Colours dominate, almost like a common denominator for the collection, obeying the logic of a project that has guidelines but no rigid boundaries to adhere to, and which is therefore as elastic and dynamic as young people.
