 MULTIPLA

At the "Salone del mobile 2001" Multipla has shown five new wooden chairs that underline the interest of this company for a strong looking impact design, that joins the collection of chairs, arm-chairs and tables, for "contract" and for private use.
According to the tradition of this trade-mark these new products prefer the use of wood, in particular beech, like the chair Mistral, realized in laminate beech on a design by the Studio Bartoli.
Very interesting is the curving of only one piece of wood that gives shape to the back and the seat of the chair, with essential and clean lines. Well is instead a softer armchair that combines the metal of the legs and the handle of the back with the wood of the structure.
The chair Bon Ton, designed by Roberto Barazzuol, available also in the armchair version is realized on a structure of upholstered laminate beech with addition of metal on the handlers. Carlo Bartoli is the art director of the company, who since the 60' has activated important collaborations with companies as Segis and Colombo Design and has been invited to exhibit his own designs in exhibitions and shows in places of great prestige, as The Milano Trienniale, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stadt Museum in Cologne.
